We stop in often. Food is exceptional. You got to try the Ruben balls. They are awesome. We really like the live entertainment. Great neighborhood place.

Great local bar! The staff is great, super friendly. Drinks and food are awesome. They always have good bands, karaoke (who doesn't love drunk karaoke?!), and a fun interactive juke box where you can find any song imaginable. I highly recommend Mike O'Donnell's if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a laid back good time:)

Ew. Just ew. I am originally from the area so I have sporadically frequented this venue over several years. I get suckered in because it is a favorite of my local friends. Sure, the prices are low but that is where any positive review ends. When you sit at the bar you get a front row seat of the unwashed and undusted bar. The bathrooms are disgusting. Ladies, do not use them. Just don't. This is a corner bar so there is no reason they can not up their game. The main room is dirty and disorganized. This is not on a strip of college bars. If they cleaned up the place they could get more business. I have never eaten here and I am not sure I would recommend it. The place looks like it needs a really good scrub down. The service was ok.

Love it. Food is great and the people are cool. Drinks are reasonable and they have free parking across the street.

Here's an objective review from somebody who grew up in this town: Mini-pitchcers of Pabst that I can buy with the change under my car seat kind of mitigates the drunken ugly townies and bad karaokee entertainment. But not quite. Would never choose to come here voluntarily.

Great neighborhood pub. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Love karaoke Saturday nights with Wolfman! Gosia is my favorite bartender...very spunky!

Yuck! Came here for St. Paddys days. Paid 21 dollars for four (not even full/watered down) shots of Jameson. Super disgusting and a giant let down. First time stoppin in too! Won't be returning! Gross.

All Aboard! Saturday was Franklin Park Railroad Dayz and we needed a place to hold a mini-banquet for two guys celebrating their 45th anniversaries of starting their railroad careers just two weeks apart in June, 1970. Just a block from the Metra Station you couldn't ask for a more perfect location. Aiming for just 10 to attend, I called a week earlier and reserved the 'back' room with a Noon start time. Arriving early from Milwaukee, the room was already waiting for us set-up for an even dozen. By Noon we had a full 15 in attendance but had nothing to worry about. Cathy and her crew 'broke their backs' to make sure everything went as smooth as possible. Mike O'donnell's was the perfect choice. Mike sure knows his business!! The MOd burgers, mac & cheese and even the fish n' chips won positive responses. The extensive beverage selection and I don't mean coke products either satisfied everyone's thirsts. Cathy made sure we were well appreciated with a complimentary beverage card for use before we left Franklin Park. One thing for sure, we'll be back!!!

Divey in all the worst ways. Came in here around 8:30 on a sat to find maybe 10 people in the place, all looked like the regulars glued to their chairs with a karaoke thing going on near the door. Came in as the reviews suggested some good irish pub food in the area I was at. Well I can say my food was ok, and I think that was the general view of all my friends. The downside was that our table of 5 took over an hour to get pub food in a bar where we were the only ones who ordered. Most of the time the server and cook were sitting at the corner of the bar drinking, ignoring us, and apparently not making our food. Worse yet was the ordering process. She took my order then left for 10 minutes. Came back took 2 more orders, left for 10 minutes, then came back a 3rd time to take the last 2 orders. I have no idea how she thought this was the right way to serve people. Funny part came when the food came out the same way. I got mine and after 5 minutes realized I should eat and not wait. When we gave up and went to the bar for drinks we found the bartender helpful and courteous. That's the last thing I can say about this place.... I would never step foot in here again.

A good Irish bar in the North West burbs that always has hot Polish bartenders.

me and my brother bought a groupon now for this place and went there sight unseen. We didn't know what to expect, but when we got there, we were taken aback at what a dive it was. there were ads on the ceiling tiles and it was kind of loud. I think we were both thinking of just turning around and walking out - but since we're not psychic and already bought our groupon, we took our seats and waited. The service was good and we both ordered burgers. Now here's the amazing part: IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS WE EVER HAD!!! We were talking about how good the burgers were for days. If you are at all a burger connoisseur such as myself, this must be tried. It's a bit far from where I live, but I'm going back tomorrow to make sure it wasn't just a fluke.

I've never really been to many bars given the price of drinks. When a couple of beers cost as much as a six pack its cheaper to stay at home. I had went here with a friend quite some time ago and we came back a few times. The drinks were well priced and the food was really good. For anyone who's familiar with the area this was back when Nanna's was still next door. Anyway the other night a friend decided he wanted a burger after we were done drinking. Thing is we could have gone to any fast food place say like White Castle (Which you need to be drunk to eat at) Instead I told him about Mikes and how I hadn't been up there in a while. We called to see how late they were open and to see how long the food was served. Good thing we called too. When we got there we were told the kitchen was closed but we said we called and they fixed us up a coupe lf the best burgers we ever had. Better still was Saturday was 2 dollar burgers. With great food and prices we also had wonderful service. It was karioke night and my only complaint is that is really loud. We parked down on the corner of Edgington and Franklin and that was super loud all the way over there. Looking forward to going again soon and not waiting so many years in between visits.

Fun, neighborhood pub! Love Friday nights with live music. Bartenders, especially Jenn, are friendly and make great drinks. Looking forward to their corn beef, cabbage and bag pipers on St. Patricks Day. In the words of Toby Keith, "I love this bar."

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner!!! Mind you this is a local dive bar with minimal resources and a limited menu but the atmosphere is worth the trip. Maybe I should just say the Bartender (Nick) is worth the trip. My wife and I started a mini-pub crawl through Franklin Park for the few hours we had a babysitter and this was, by far, the best bar in the area with Nick being a top 5 bartender in the Chicago area. Prices were good, atmosphere clean, and service superb. I drink a lot of beer and I will make it a point to stop here with my out of town beer drinking groupies! Reminds me of a nice Little place in Niles called Babes (Yacko's).

It's a fun place to come and hang out at after work for a beer or two. The food is great, and the drinks aren't expensive. However, I am not much for the ambiance of the place. I don't mind the "hole in the wall" bars, however, depending on the day of the week this place can be a big Debbie Downer. But, all in all, a must check out in the neighborhood that's for sure.
